The World Institute of Aviation and Aerospace (WIAA) has been established as a centre for aviation and aerospace studies and will be acting as an “academic, research, training, and skill development centre” in the country as well as in the Asia-Pacific region. The institute is focused on providing a first-grade and world-class professional educational programme on aviation and aerospace management to regular classroom students who want to study. The institute would be focusing on the core areas of airlines, airports, air navigation and surveillance, aerospace, logistics, supply chain management, aviation environment and sustainability, safety and security, aviation law, and air regulation. The key objectives of WIAA are

  • To develop higher education in aviation and allied transport management
  • To provide industry prepared holistic professional managers per excellence and add value to themselves, where they work, as well as to the country.  
  • To undertake and promote an online study programme in aviation-related subjects
  • To establish and maintain a research centre, information centre, web sites, databases, and reference library in pursuance of the objects of the trust and to encourage researchers from other institutions and universities to use these facilities.
  • To conduct international aviation conferences and seminars
